Eligibility Criteria:

IDP Accepted:
- Fiji recognizes physical IDPs, as long as they meet the requirements set by the country’s traffic regulations.
Application Process:
- To acquire an International Driving Permit, fill out the application form, which can be obtained online or from the LTA’s office, submit it along with the checklist to the Customer Service Officer, pay the fees, and upon updating your application in the system, the CSO will issue your IDP, which will be valid from the date of issue.
Validity:
- An IDP obtained in Fiji is generally valid for one year from the date of issue. If needed, it can be renewed, but the validity cannot exceed the expiration date of the domestic driving licence.
Accepted Countries:
- Fiji is a party to international conventions, such as the 1949 Geneva Convention on Road Traffic. The IDP issued in Fiji complies with the standards set by these conventions.
Driving Licence Requirement:
- An IDP is not a driving licence in its own right. You must be able to present both your IDP and your local driver’s licence when you travel.
