IDP Accepted:
- Seychelles recognizes physical IDPs, as long as they meet the requirements set by the country’s traffic regulations.
Application Process:
- To apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in Seychelles, you must first ensure that you hold a valid Seychelles driving license. Once eligibility is confirmed, gather the necessary documents, including one passport-size photograph. Download the application form from the Seychelles Licensing Authority’s website and complete it with accurate information. Next, visit SLA’s office where IDPs are processed. Submit the filled-out application form along with the required documents and pay the license fee of SR500.00 for a one-year permit. Upon successful processing, you will be issued the International Driving Permit, allowing you to drive legally in foreign countries.
Validity:
- An IDP obtained in Seychelles is generally valid for one year from the date of issue. If needed, it can be renewed, but the validity cannot exceed the expiration date of the domestic driving licence.
Accepted Countries:
- Seychelles is a party to international conventions, such as the 1968 Vienna Convention and 1949 Geneva Convention on Road Traffic. The IDP issued in Seychelles complies with the standards set by these conventions.
